DBT-Thrive is an innovative, eight-week programme that seamlessly integrates the four core modules of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with five practical life navigation skills. Rooted in the evidence-based framework developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan (Linehan, 2015), DBT has been widely recognised for its effectiveness in helping individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build resilience. At Glenbrook Practice, we’ve adapted these principles to address the unique needs of adults, creating a programme that not only focuses on emotional regulation but also equips you with actionable strategies for everyday life challenges like goal setting, time management, and self-care.

Unlike traditional one-on-one therapy, DBT-Thrive is a group-based skills training programme. It complements any ongoing individual sessions with psychiatrists or psychologists, providing a distinct focus on skill-building rather than deep psychological exploration. This distinction ensures that DBT-Thrive enhances your existing support system without replacing it.
